Research
Staff of the Department of Information and Communications undertake research within The Information Research Institute (TIRI). TIRI was established in September 2003, as one of ten new institutes created by Manchester Metropolitan University to drive its research activities. TIRI's work focuses on the techniques and processes used in creating, acquiring, storing, transmitting and exploiting information.
