The Department offers a comprehensive programme of courses at undergraduate and postgraduate degree level, with full-time, part-time and mixed-mode routes of study. The courses, recognised by leading professional bodies, provide both an academic degree and a route to professional qualification.

New and Revised Routes
Following a course review the department is proud to announce the following changes. The professional (accredited) Library related route will now be known as the BA (Hons) Librarianship. The previous BSc (Hons) Information Architecture and BSc (Hons) Web Content Development become a single route called BSc (Hons) Web Development. And finally, a new route called BSc (Hons) Digital Media and Communications is also being launched. These routes join the existing BSc (Hons) Information Management and BSc (Hons) Information and Communications.
