What you learn

At every level of your studies, practical language classes reinforce your knowledge of the French language and develop the linguistic skills necessary to succeed. Whilst language teaching remains compulsory at all levels, we also aim to provide you with a varied programme that offers a wide choice of subjects related to French.

How you learn

We aim to form graduates who are both able and employable. We therefore help you acquire and develop skills through:

  • Working independently and with confidence
  • Taking individual and collective initiative
  • Participating in seminar discussions involving groups
  • Playing an active role in group work, team presentations, student-led presentations and debates

  • You will spend an academic year in a partner university in France, choosing from locations such as Bordeaux, Limoges, Nantes, Paris, Perpignan, Strasbourg and Tours. You could also spend a year in France as a Language Assistant under the British Council scheme, or on a work placement
