The Politics of Global Competitiveness - an open access research project

This is an open access research project authored by the Global Competitiveness Research Group, and committed to the ideal of knowledge as a freely available public good. All papers produced within it are placed permanently in the public domain. They may be freely cited, copied and distributed for non-commercial purposes so long as the citation details as set out on the final page of each paper are reproduced. They are published in the series Papers in the Politics of Global Competitiveness, hosted by the Institute for Global Studies at Manchester Metropolitan University, and placed on the e-space Open Repository at Manchester Metropolitan University, or on the equivalent repository at the institution to which the author is attached. Papers relating to the project are circulated prior to publication to the members of the research group, whose comments are acknowledged upon publication. They are not subject to any other form of peer review, but individuals whose work is addressed in the series are guaranteed a right of reply, via a link on this site to a response, so long as it is also placed in the public domain.
